Discover Irvine's Little Athletes
The Chinese American Sports Association will be hosting the "Discover Irvine Little Athletes" charity event in Irvine, Los Angeles. Several world champion members will be present to help children understand their athletic potential and physical health through various sports tests.
As the shadow of the pandemic gradually recedes, Chinese families urgently need to overcome their difficulties and regain a healthy life.
Children must engage in sports, a reality that every Chinese family cannot avoid. This is the only way to help them escape the quagmire of video games, transform from homebodies into sunny teenagers, from delicate girls into strong women, and from extremely fragile individuals into incredibly resilient and courageous ones.
In the United States, raising healthy, strong, and positive children is the goal of Chinese families in the new era.

This is a charity event, and registration is free. However, due to limited staff, only 15 children can register.
The age limit for children is 3-12 years old (inclusive).

Activity Grouping: We will divide the children into three groups: Hulk (strength and jumping), Iron Man (speed and endurance), and Spider-Man (flexibility and agility) for testing, each led by one of the three world champions. Each group will complete all tests in rotation.
After the tests, the children relaxed and played in the park. The world champion then began scoring each child and communicating with each parent about their child's athletic potential and health.
Parents and children enjoyed fun sports activities arranged by world champions.

This event recruits volunteers and provides each volunteer with a certificate. After accumulating a certain number of hours, the American Sports Association will assist in applying for the Presidential Volunteer Award.

由美国华人体育家协会主办的首届华人青少年体育明星崛起暨华人青少年体育潜能开发研讨会，22日在南加州尔湾成功举行。这是美国华人运动史上的首次相关活动，开启美国华人体育文化为主导的全新时代。美国华人体育家协会创始人高胜理事长携在美的奥运冠军和世界冠军代表出席了此次会议。
随著北京冬奥会的成功举办，华人青少年体育明星成为冬奥赛事最大的亮点，如何培养更多的华人青少年体育人才，树立当代华人健康、强壮、正能量的全新形象，成为在美华人体育界人士和华裔家长尤为关切的议题。
华裔家长深知，每一个华人青少年体育明星，背后都有一个孤立无援的家庭。所以，如何帮助华人家庭解决面临的实际困难，是他们迫切的需要。因此，本次研讨会就如何培养更多的华人青少年体育明星，如何更好地开发华人青少年体育潜能，及如何帮助华人家庭，更有效解决孩子们参加体育运动训练所遇到的问题，重点进行了交流和研讨。经过会议各方人士研讨，达成共识。大家认为，只有成立华人专属的青少年体育运动俱乐部与基金会，时时给予华人家庭以专业的建议与指导，才能够真正解决华人家庭的根本问题。这样也可以帮助华人青少年得到更早的体育潜能开发，包括华人青少年体育人才的高额运动训练经费也能够有相应的渠道得以合理解决，从而可以切实地帮助华人家庭解决现实困难，助力华人青少年体育明星的培育。
华体会专业人士认为，孩子必须从事体育运动，现在这一问题对于每一个华人家庭都无法回避，因为目前只有这一条途径能帮他们从玩游戏的泥沼里拖离出来，从宅男变为阳光少年，或从娇滴滴蜕变成女汉子，从极度脆弱变为内心无比坚韧果敢。因此，在美国培养出健康、强壮、更正能量的孩子才是新时代华人家庭的目标。
此外，体育特长生升学也是本次会议与会家长们最关心的议题。参会的家长们都非常认同美国的教育，以体育运动作为促进孩子得到全方位教育的主要手段，及辅助孩子争取到被更好的大学录取的机会。一致认为，从小进行体育潜能的开发，让体育运动始终伴随青少年的成长，拥有健康强壮的身体，同时还能收获最好的教育机会，培养青少年多运动、爱运动的习惯是一举多得的事情。

Because of the environment in which most Chinese parents grew up, there is a blind spot in the field of sports. How to stimulate children's athletic potential and discover their special athletic abilities at an early age has become a challenge for all Chinese families.
To fundamentally address the pathways for cultivating Chinese youth to engage in sports, could we sincerely invite individuals from all walks of life who are committed to promoting sports among Chinese youth to establish a Chinese Youth Sports Club, set up a Chinese Youth Sports Fund, and create a Chinese Youth Sports Center, providing a more professional training platform and support for Chinese youth sports?

You and I are both half-shells. The waves briefly separate us, but the surf brings us together forever. The Sino-US Half-Shell Surf Club was founded in 2008 and is one of the earliest urban surf clubs in China. It was established by Mr. Wang Hongbin, the initiator of surfing in China, in 2008.
